How to Aim in Counter-Strike

Counter-strike is a realistic counter terrorism game that is the most played first-person shooter game on the internet. The key to becoming a good Counter-strike player is to remember that the number of people you kill isn't as important as team victories. Follow these steps to learn how to aim in Counter-strike.

Instructions

1. Set up your controls the way you desire, the default settings are usually the easiest to use but it's entirely up to you if you want to change them around. You should make sure you are comfortable with the controls and that you know which keys perform which functions.

2. Search for an enemy. Use your crosshairs to aim at the enemy, when you have him in your crosshairs fire.

3. Aim for the head or body. Head shots cause the most damage and will disable your enemy faster and reduce the likelihood of him returning fire.

4. Crouch while firing. Crouching makes aiming easier and increases your accuracy. The less you move the more accurate you become.

5. Fire in short bursts by tapping your fire key repeatedly. Holding down the fire key for too long will cause your crosshairs to get bigger and reduce the accuracy of your shot.

6. Practice often. The only way to become good at aiming is to play frequently.

Tips & Warnings

• While you are getting the hang of aiming try to use a high powered weapon and fire at close range. You don't need to be accurate because at close range you will most likely hit something.
