How to Accelerate a Download

If you share photos and music files on the Internet, you may be frustrated by the amount of time it takes to download them. You can accelerate the download with a download accelerator program that speeds up the process so you can see, hear and enjoy your downloads more quickly.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Choose a download accelerator program to speed the download of your music and photo files. Some are free programs and you must pay for some. You can download the program of your choice from the Internet or purchase a CD.

  2. Step 2

    Download the accelerator program by clicking on "Download" located on the webpage of the program you are going to use.

  3. Step 3

    Insert the disc in your CD drive if you purchased a download accelerator program. The disc runs automatically. Follow the on-screen instructions to install this program.

  4. Step 4

    Install the download program after downloading it. Click on "Install," which pops up after the download is over.

  5. Step 5

    Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation. The next time you download any file, the download accelerator program automatically speeds up your download.

  6. Step 6

    Click on the file you want to download. Your download accelerator program will automatically begin when you start your download. A pop-up box will display. Click on "OK." The program downloads with lightning speed.

Tips & Warnings
  • Download accelerator programs are available for a charge. These do not display advertisements. Decide if you wish to pay for this program or take the free version.
  • Many free download accelerator programs are available, but most display advertisements while they are running. Consider this when you are deciding which program to use.
