Step1
Open Microsoft Excel. Click on the "Start" button from the main operating system menu. Then, choose "Programs" from the start menu. Next, select "Microsoft Office" on the programs menu. Finally, click on "Microsoft Excel" to open the Microsoft Excel application.
Step2
Create a new Excel file or open an existing file with which to utilize the STDEVA function. To open an existing file, choose "Open" from file menu and select the correct file. To create a new file, select the "New" from the file menu.
Step3
Enter and select the range of new numbers to utilize STDEVA function if the user is working from a new spreadsheet file. Select the range of existing numbers if working from an existing spreadsheet.
Step4
Select the cell where the STDEVA function will reside. The cell must be an empty cell.
Step5
Click on the "Insert function" button in the Excel formula bar on the main menu. Search for the STDEVA function on the list and select the function. After selecting the STDEVA function, a dialog box will appear.
Step6
Enter the numerical value in the dialog box or click on the button next to the text box to select a range of cells within the spreadsheet. Once the user selects the range of cells or enters the numerical values, click "OK" and the STDEVA output will result in the selected cell from Step 4.
