The Butterfly Poker Chip trick is one of the hardest poker chip tricks to do. If you are just starting out, you should begin with easier tricks and progress to this one.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 4 poker chips
  1. Step 1

Hold a stack of 4 poker chips between the middle finger and the thumb about 1/2 inch from the tips of your fingers. Keep the rest of your fingers together and extended.

  2. Step 2

Lift the two end chips furthest away from your fingertips with your index finger. At the same time, drop the two chips closest to your fingertips with your ring finger. Keep the chips stable by moving the pinky finger upward.

  3. Step 3

Hold the top two chips between the thumb and pointer and the bottom ones between the pinky and the ring finger.

  4. Step 4

Bring the middle finger toward the palm and in between the two pairs of chips. Rest the two sets onto the middle finger. Your thumb, middle finger and pinky finger should be touching or close to touching at this point.

  5. Step 5

Fan the chips out by using your thumb to slide the chip nearest to your palm upward to the top, using your pinky finger to slide the chip furthest from your palm down to the bottom and using your middle finger and ring finger to slide the other two chips into the middle.

  6. Step 6

Reverse the steps to bring all four chips back together. Combine the two sets of chips again and then finally bring all the chips into one stack.
