Step 1
Carry your paraglider when it's not in use to avoid damage caused by dragging it on the ground. Use a roomy stuff sack to store your paraglider. This will protect it from exposure to ultraviolet rays.
-
Step 2
Clean your paraglider with fresh water if it gets soiled from a harsh landing or due to rain. Avoid harsh soaps and cleansers that could damage the wing. Allow the paraglider to dry thoroughly before you store it to avoid mold, mildew and deterioration.
-
Step 3
Check the harness, paraglider lines and brakes before and after each flight attempt. Ensure that the harness is free of deterioration, the lines are attached to the paraglider securely and your brakes are in working order before you launch your paraglider.
-
Step 4
Visit a professional inspector to closely look at your paragliding gear. Paragliders naturally deteriorate due to heavy use and damage from ultraviolet light. Inspect your paraglider annually to maintain its integrity and safety.
