CrossFit's Olympic weightlifting certification provides you with excellent, expert-taught weightlifting instruction in the clean and jerk and snatch lifts in addition to how to maximize the exercises for your use. The certification program is difficult but open to anyone determined enough to try it.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate
Step1
Increase your GPP (General Physical Preparedness level) with some barbell and dumbbell work for the weeks leading up to CrossFit's Olympic weightlifting certification course. If you have previous injuries see your physician or sports therapist to make sure you're cleared to do the heavy lifting required by the program.
Step2
Find a date and time that the Olympic weightlifting certification is offered in your area by checking on CrossFit's website. If you find that there are no suitable dates for you, email the CrossFit team to let them know that you want another course. Alternatively, work with your local gym or sports group to host a certification course.
Step3
Download the registration form from the CrossFit Store and sign up and pay for the Olympic weightlifting certification course. If you have taken previous CrossFit courses get the details from the courses together since it may affect the pricing of the Olympic weightlifting course.
Step4
Set aside 2 days for the course and attend all of the lectures and training sessions so you get your CrossFit certification. You do not need to come with any prerequisites (either of an academic or physical sort) and you won't have to pass any tests to achieve certification other than showing up to all sessions of the course.
