Instructions

    • 1

Determine what type of journal works best for you. You can purchase a fitness log at any bookstore, use an old notebook or subscribe to an online journal like Training Peaks.

    • 2

Choose a format. This will depend on how much information you want to include in your journal and how much space you have allotted. Since CrossFit combines nutrition, sports and conditioning exercises, you will want to include a daily food diary so you can evaluate what foods are helping you to achieve peak performance.

    • 3

Enter details about your workouts. Briefly describe the exercise that you did and the amount of repetitions. When playing sports, it is generally best to enter the amount of time that you spent in the activity. Many people also like to include a brief description of the weather if they are working out outside and a brief description of how they felt after exercising. This is helpful in identifying trends.CrossFit Journal

Review your journal periodically. The information you've recorded will allow you to see patterns and identify what works and what doesn't. If you are working with a CrossFit trainer, sharing this information with him will allow him to help you to improve your workouts.

Tips & Warnings

  • The CrossFit Journal is a digital monthly magazine designed to provide additional information and inspiration to people who are doing the CrossFit program. Don't confuse this with your own personal journal.
