The torso or upper body is on its side in a horizontal position to do side poses while skydiving. Either side faces toward the ground or into the wind. Various twists, turns and loops are easy to do when the body is at this angle.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Turn your torso to one side. Hold both legs together in line with your upper body. This is the Knife-Edge.

  2. Step 2

Point one leg straight down toward the ground. Extend your arm that faces the ground horizontally in line with your torso.

  3. Step 3

Place your upper arm above your torso. Arch your back and keep your head straight or look up. This is an Open Camel.

  4. Step 4

Bend the knee of the leg pointed towards the ground and you are in a Stag Camel.

  5. Step 5

Switch sides and straighten your lower leg so it's in line with your torso. With your upper arm, grab your upper leg at the ankle and extend it towards your head in a vertical direction. Your lower arm is at your side in line with your body to form the Pisa.

  6. Step 6

Release the ankle on your upper leg and then extend that leg straight up. Grab the ankle again using your upper arm to form the Eiffel.

  7. Step 7

Lower your upper leg until it is horizontal in line with your upper body. Slightly turn your upper leg out to the side and bend your knee so it is pointing up.

  8. Step 8

Put your upper hand on your knee. Keep the lower arm in line with your upper body. This is the Cleopatra.
