Eons is a social networking website for baby boomers--people who were born between 1946 and 1964. Members of Eons create profiles that give other members information about them. Members can also add widgets--interactive content like clocks or news streams--to their profiles. Follow these steps to use widgets at Eons.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer
  • Eons membership (free)
  1. Step 1

Go to your profile page on Eons. You will only have a profile if you are an Eons member; membership is free.

  2. Step 2

Find the "Add a Widget" link on the profile page.

  3. Step 3

Choose one of the Eons widgets. They offer a number of widgets, including an interactive fortune cookie and Sudoku.

  4. Step 4

Click "Add Widget" and the widget will appear on your profile.

  5. Step 5

Look at other member's profiles for widgets that you like. If you want to add one of them to your site, click "Add It To Your Profile" and it will show up on your profile.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you want to add a widget from another site to your Eons profile, you will have to follow the instructions from that website. Scroll down to the bottom of the page with the Eons widgets to the area that allows you to add your own widgets.
  • You can personalize some widgets; for example, weather widgets allow you to tailor the widget for your zip code.
  • Eons does not offer support for widgets from other sites. There is an HTML workshop group where members help each other with widgets and other items that require coding.
