How to Use a Gift at Eons

Eons is a website for baby boomers--people born between 1946 and 1964. If you are an Eons member, you can give gifts to or receive gifts from other Eons members. Gifts are amusing icons that you combine with a short, personal message--like a little e-card. Follow these steps to use gifts at Eons.

Things You'll Need:

• Computer
• Eons membership (free)

1. Go to the profile page for the member who you want to give a gift to.

2. Click "Send a Gift" at the top of the member's profile page.

3. Look at the upper right hand corner and check your gifts balance. You earn gift credits on Eons when you add a new friend, join a group, post a blog entry or a message to a group, add a photo to your profile, group, or LifePath, start or update your LifePath, or post a comment on a blog, profile, photo, video or game. One gift credit allows you to give one gift.

4. Browse the gifts section and choose a gift that you'd like to send. Enter a short message. People who view that member's profile will be able to read your message, so don't make your message too personal.

5. Hit "Send" and the person will receive the gift.

Tips & Warnings

• People can view your gifts when they go to your profile page. If you don't want other members to be able to view your gifts, you can limit access to your profile through your privacy settings.
• If there is no gift link on a member's profile page, it probably means that the person has configured his privacy settings to not receive gifts.
