As a social networking site designed especially for baby boomers, Eons offers the opportunity to make new friends or invite old friends to become part of your Eons network. Follow these steps to add friends to an Eons account.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer
  • Eons membership (free)
  1. Step 1

Go to your profile. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click "Invite Friends to Eons."

  2. Step 2

Fill out the information in the blank fields, which ask for your friends' email addresses. There is a pre-written message in the box, but you can rewrite it in your own words if you'd like. When your friends become Eons members they can add you to their list of friends.

  3. Step 3

Look for new friends who are already Eons members. One way to do this is to type in a hobby or interest under "Blogs" and find a person who has written something of interest to you.

  4. Step 4

Access the profile of the Eons member who you would like to get to know better.

  5. Step 5

Click "Invite As a Friend." A screen will pop up asking you to confirm your invitation; when you confirm an email invitation will arrive in the inbox of the person you selected.

  6. Step 6

View an image of your new friend in the "Friends" after your invitation is accepted.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can also add a person as a Favorite rather than a Friend. This means that you will have no contact with the person, but you'll be able to easily access the person's profile and read their latest blog posts. You can place people in this category if you enjoy reading their blogs but don't necessarily want to communicate with them directly.
