You've mastered the Rubik's Cube, the challenging cube puzzle from the 80s that continues to frustrate others. And maybe the Sudoku puzzles in your daily newspapers take you just a minutes—with a pen. What you need is a new challenge--the Sudokube.

Difficulty: Challenging
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Know how to solve a Rubik's cube. A traditional Rubik's Cube has six faces of nine blocks. The goal is to make each face of the cube the one solid color: red, green, blue, yellow, white and orange.

  2. Step 2

Understand that Sudoku puzzles also work with the principal of 9. Instead of working with colors, your goal is to align the numbers 1 through 9 so that they only appear once in each row, column and block. With a Sudokube, you should have the numbers 1 through 9 (once each) on each side or face of the cube.

  3. Step 3

Find Sudokubes under different names, including Sudoku Cube and Sudoku Kube in addition to Sudokube.

  4. Step 4

Buy Sudokube from various online retailers that carry puzzles and games. You might also be able to find them in specialty game stores and chain discount stores.

  5. Step 5

Shop around for the best price. Sudokubes often run about the same cost as Rubik's Cubes, which isn't very expensive.

Tips & Warnings
  • Sudokube may be every bit as addicting to puzzle geniuses as Sudoku and Rubik's Cube.
  • Rubik's Cubes now also come in 4 x 4 and 5 x 5 combinations.
  • Be careful when moving the groups of numbers. Forcing your cube can lead to pieces breaking off the main cube.
