Step 1
Choose between Instant Action, which pits every player against each other in the game, or the Power Struggle game, in which you're either a member of the US Delta Force team or the North Korean army. In Instant Action you can stalk around, take weapons from defeated opponents and find new weapons scattered around the map, while on Power Struggle it's just you, a pistol and your team until you gather enough prestige points to earn more gear.
-
Step 2
Use stealth and camouflage in both types of game play by sneaking around corners and into hidden spaces such as the ventilation ducts of the Prototype Factory and making forays into enemy areas with vehicles.
-
Step 3
Plan with your teammates on Power Struggle mode so you start out by capture key points that are loaded with ammos, weapons or, importantly, vehicles. Once you moved tactically to capture as much gear and transport as possible then you can start implementing more aggressive parts of the strategy that make use of your technology acquisitions.
-
Step 4
Make sure you know the reload procedure for all weapons that you use, including tanks and planes. If you manage to secure an aircraft and you run out of bombs, for example, you must land and reload the plane yourself before you can go on to continue with your Crysis multiplayer mission.
-
Step 5
Devise a strategy in the multiplayer Power Struggle version of Crysis that works backwards from the winning tactic. You can win by either nuking your enemy's headquarters or sustaining less damage than the other side's headquarters when time runs out. Make your strategy on this basis to best play the game.
