How to Use Yahoo! on Ebuddy

Chat with friends on any Internet provider with Ebuddy. A home computer isn't necessary to connect to the mobile service. You're able to use the web-based service on public computers because your connecting through Ebuddy's secure web service. Ebuddy's free downloads offer additional ways to customize features on your phone.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer
  • Internet access
  • Mobile device
  1. Step 1

    Register for a Yahoo! account first. Your Yahoo! email address is your account. Take the direct link from Ebuddy's website to Yahoo!.

  2. Step 2

    Sign in to Yahoo! messenger on the Ebuddy homepage. Put your Yahoo! ID and password in the provided spaces.

  3. Step 3

    Find your Yahoo! contacts in the Ebuddy messaging screen. Send a message by double-clicking on any contact. Type the message in the screen that pops up and click send.

  4. Step 4

    Use "Invite 2 Conference" in the main Ebuddy screen's tools to invite more than one friend to converse.

  5. Step 5

    Add a new contact under "Add buddy" in tools. The Yahoo ID of the contact person is required.

  6. Step 6

    Look at a contact's profile by choosing "View Profile" in the "View" tab of the main window.

  7. Step 7

    Change message alerts in the "View" tab. Select "Preferences" and then the "Alert and Sound" tab. Choose from sound alerts, flashing windows or the message window moving to the front.

Tips & Warnings
  • Download Ebuddy's free Multi-Network Web Messenger, Mobil Messenger or Lite Messenger to get access to all your network contacts at one time.
  • Turn pop-up blocker off to use Ebuddy.
