How to Use Ebuddy on a PDA

Enjoy the freedom of chatting with your friends without being tied to a computer. Ebuddy has made instant messaging easier than ever with their feature mobile program. Access Yahoo!, Gtalk, MySpace or AIM instant messaging networks using Ebuddy's Mobile Messenger software with your PDA or other mobile device.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • PDA
  • Browser capabilities
  • Messenger Network account
  1. Step 1

    Sign up with Ebuddy using your PDA's mobile browser connection. Refer to the user's guide for specific instructions, if necessary.

  2. Step 2

    View Ebuddy's homepage. Choose between using the Mobile Messenger Lite browser based program, or download an enhanced software version of Mobile Messenger for use with your PDA.

  3. Step 3

    Click on the network to connect. Select between Yahoo!, MySpace, Gtalk or AIM. Log in to the network using your assigned ID and password for the specific network.

  4. Step 4

    Send and receive instant messages through the Ebuddy Mobile Messenger page. New messages pop up in the front window. Change settings on Ebuddy's main page to get a notifying sound when you have a new message.

  5. Step 5

    Connect to many networks at once with Ebuddy Mobile Messenger's enhanced download package. It's free and once it's on your PDA, you can view a comprehensive list of all your contacts from each designated network.

  6. Step 6

    Make sure you have xHTML or WAP 2.0 enabled browsing capabilities. Ebuddy software downloads require it.

Tips & Warnings
  • Downloading the Mobile Messenger software on your PDA is worth it. Take advantage of bonus features like enhanced messaging views, group chatting capabilities and sound features.
  • If you don't have xHTML or WAP 2.0 enabled browsing capabilities, try using the browser based Messenger Lite program instead.
