How to get the body you always wanted

The Biggest question I hear is "I have two months before spring Break in Miami, Can you help me get a six pack?" Not realizing whats involved in getting the abs you want, many people give up before they actually get started. Consistency is the name of the game to get what you want

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Things You’ll Need:

  • Desire
  • Effort
  • A little Time

Step1
1. Stay Focused! There is a reason why Gyms and fitness Facilities are packed in early January and empty in March or April. Consistency seems to be the biggest problem when it comes to the people getting what they want out of their body. The first step Should be a Goal and time setting act. A FAIL TO PLAN IS A PLAN TO FAIL! Know what you want and how much time you have to get it before you start your workout. It should be planned on a weekly timetable so it can be adjusted easily if necessary.
Step2
Know your limitations and Don't reach too high. I know the idea is usually to reach for the stars BUT i find that people often get dissapointed when they set their goals too high and then don't achieve them. This leads to discouragement and eventually dropping your membership from the gym.Going from a gut to washboard abs in a month is not going to happen but setting your goal as going from a four X to a three X shirt is more a reasonable plan.
Step3
Watch what you eat! Staying away from foods high in Carbohydrates, Calories and sugars.I call it the CCS cutaway diet. If you read labels and understand what exactly your consuming every time you eat, you will make a significant improvement. Stay away from Carbs such as breads and pastas after 6:00PM and No late night snacks that are full of sugar.
Step4
Dont go into it alone! People often skip workout days because of lack of motivation. Having someone else who is working towards their own goal work out with you will keep you interested and motivated on those days where you really just want to sit in your house and do nothing.

on 3/13/2008 I think that this is really good and useful advice if people can actually stay focused and motivated. I think that setting moderate goals is a good way to do that. I am going to try this and see how it works!
