Peeps are fun to eat, crunchy sugar and very sweet. I've taken it a step further and dipped them in chocolate. OH MY!!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Easter Peeps
  • 1 pound of chocolate (milk, dark, white - your choice)
  • Lollipop sticks
  • Bags
  • Ribbon
  • Topping if preferred
  • Wax Paper
  1. Step 1

    MELT THE CHOCOLATE

You can buy chocolate candy at your local craft store - a one pound bag of chocolate is enough to dip about 4 packs of Peeps.

Chocolate is easy to melt, but patience is key.

Melt the chocolate in a glass bowl in the microwave at 40 second intervals. Stir the chocolate and cook again at 40 seconds. Stir. Your chocolate should be melted and smooth but not very hot. You may add another 20 seconds of melting time.

Don't forget - you have options when it comes to chocolate. You can use milk chocolate, dark chocolate or white chocolate - which also comes in colors.

  2. Step 2

    Remove Peeps from package.

  3. Step 3

Insert a lollipop stick into PEEP. Push stick all the way through to its little head.

[You may start this step while your chocolate is melting if everything else is in order.]

  4. Step 4

Dip PEEP into chocolate. Cover entire PEEP. Let excess chocolate drip off of PEEP.

  5. Step 5

Roll PEEP in desired topping. The item I pictured was dipped in coconut. Other toppings would be pecans, Oreo cookies, sprinkles.

  6. Step 6

Place on pan covered in wax paper - set in freezer for 15 minutes.
    Take out - ENJOY!!!

Tips & Warnings
  • You can dip without the stick and make an arrangement for your Easter brunch. Use white chocolate to write the guests name for a unique place setting.
  • Get creative.
  • PEEPS are hard to find after Easter (until Halloween). Don't get addicted!!!
