So, your favorite pair of shoes has got the frightening aroma of foot funk. Don't despair, you can save almost any pair of shoes form near stench death.
Wash any washable smelly shoes in bleach. If your shoes are not bleach safe, but are washable use a heavy duty detergent and a quarter cup of baking soda. Regardless of what method you choose, select the strongest wash cycle on your washing machine.
Step2
For shoes that can't be washed, try sprinkling baking or baby powder inside your shoes. Do this at least 24 hours before you will wear them next.
Step3
After you have gotten rid of the initial shoe odor, be proactive about keeping the smell tame. Keep dryer or fabric softener sheets in your shoes between wearing them or spray them with Febreeze after use.

NEWSPAPER HAS WORKED FOR ME AS AN ADSORBER OF ODOR AND DAMPNESS. I ALWAYS STUFF MY WORKOUT SHOWS WITH NEWSPAPER WHEN I REMOVE THEM.
I SEE A COMMENT ABOUT FREEZING. NORMAL HOME FREEZER TEMPERATURES SLOW THE METABOLISM OF MICROBES AND THEY REMAIN IN A STATE OF NON-REPRODUCTION, BUT MOST DO NOT DIE. AS SOON AS THE ENVIRONMENT REACHES THE APPROPRIATE WARMER TEMPEARTURE, THEY'RE MULTIPLYING EXPONENTIALLY AGAIN. THUS ONE OF THE REASONS FOR BEING VERY CAREFUL ABOUT FREEZING FOOD (OR REFREEZING FOOD) THAT SHOULD BE COOKED,EATEN OR MULCHED.

How can one get rid of the underarm odor that has remained in the material washing after washing and soaking even soaking in my cure all of Oxyclean?

Another way to get rid of ANY odor... Stuff it with newspaper over night. When I sold tupperware, we used this method to get rid of onion smell in our bowls. It worked just great! Now if it will get rid of ONION smell, it will get rid of ANY shoe odor. Give it a try!

A really good way to remove shoe odour is to put your shoes in a plastic bag and put them in the freezer for a day or two. Bad smells are caused by bacteria and freezing your shoes will kill the bacteria that cause the smell.
