Visit the Haunted Island of Palmyra Atoll

The Palmyra Atoll is an uninhabited island about 50 miles north of the equator and approximately one thousand miles south of Honolulu. Is it possible for such a scenic and peaceful island to be a hub of paranormal phenomenon? Although peaceful, this island was the spot for the murder case which inspired the book, "And the Sea Will Tell." Visited during WWII, soldiers reported deaths by shark attack and an overwhelming unease by being on this tiny island. Want to test it out for yourself?

Say your goodbyes. Legend has it that this island is famous for "appearing out of nowhere" and grounding boats, as well as being a magnet for fighter planes during the war.

Keep your eyes open and see if you can find the missing remains of Mac Graham. He and his wife were victims of a double murder on this location. They were killed there in the mid seventies by another couple visiting the island. Their yacht was taken and their bodies dismembered and burned. Could their restless spirits still seek justice and revenge? Do some EVP work and see if you can communicate with Mac.

Feel like a treasure hunt? Pirate booty may be buried on this island, and its ghostly activity may be related to pirate ships that have crashed upon its surrounding reef.

    Tips & Warnings

    • Do not try to access the island on your own. There is a coral reef surrounding the island and the natural conservatory staff will not allow trespassing.
