Things You'll Need

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 box macaroni and cheese (or mini shells and cheese)
  • Shredded cheddar cheese
  • Ground black pepper

Instructions

    • 1

      Brown the beef with the onion (sliced or chopped) and ground black pepper in a skillet or wok, then add the diced tomatoes.

      Cook the macaroni and cheese according to the box directions. Transfer the macaroni and cheese to the beef skillet and mix all of the ingredients thoroughly.

      Add shredded cheddar cheese and additional pepper if desired, and mix. Let simmer awhile.

      Add additional shredded cheddar cheese before serving if desired.

Tips & Warnings

  • A green vegetable works well as a side dish for this hearty meal.

  • For an even heartier meal, experiment by adding sliced or chopped cooked vegetables to the skillet, such as sliced celery, sliced carrots and diced potatoes.
