If you want to give something that is not your run of the mill gifts, make flower petal soap. It’s easy and your friend will love the fact that you made such a beautiful and thoughtful gift. Here's how to make a flower petal soap.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Silk flowers with small petals
  • Hard glycerin
  • Fragrant oil
  • Plastic bowl
  • Hot pads
  • Tweezers
  • Waxed Paper

Step1
Put the glycerin in the bowl. Melt in the microwave for 1 minute at a time, until it is melted. Use hot pads to remove from the microwave.
Step2
Pour the fragrant oil in the melted glycerin, one drop at a time, until you reach the desired strength of fragrance.
Step3
Separate the silk flowers from the stem. Drop 3 or 4 at a time in the melted glycerin. Allow them to completely absorb the glycerin. Put a length of waxed paper on a flat surface. Use the tweezers to remove the flower petals from the glycerin to the waxed paper.
Step4
Allow the petals to dry completely. They will curl as they dry, which is fine. When dry, store in a plastic container.
