How to make Never-Fail BBQ Sauce

Do you like barbecued meats but have trouble finding a BBQ sauce that you really like? Wouldn't it be great to find a BBQ sauce for ALL types of meat that will never let you down? How about if you could whip up the sauce at home in 5 minutes or less with a few basic ingredients? If you're like me, you're already saying, "Yes! Tell me how!"

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • 1 large green pepper, diced
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 1 24 oz bottle of Ketchup
  • 3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 tbsp prepared yellow mustard
  • 1 cup of water
Step1
Combine all ingredients in a medium size bowl, and you're done! This sauce is enough for 3 - 4 lbs of meat, fresh or thawed. Use immediately or cover and refrigerate for up to 3 days.
Step2
To use the sauce: Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Without covering, bake pork or beef for one hour or chicken for 45 minutes in an ovenproof baking dish.
Step3
Remove meat from oven, reduce oven temperature to 275 degrees. Drain off most of the fat, and pour BBQ sauce onto meat coating all surfaces. Cover and bake for 4 hours, or until meat flakes from bone. Enjoy!

Tips & Warnings

  • This recipe also works well in a crock pot on Low Heat for 6 - 8 hours.
  • Please ensure that all meat is fully cooked. Eating undercooked meat can be hazardous to you and your family's health.
