How to Reiki Charge a Candle

Since Reiki is a universal life energy, it can be stored in almost anything. Everything is capable of storing Reiki energy, and many Reiki practitioners charge various objects with Reiki energy in order to increase the amount of Reiki they can infuse into their clients during a treatment. Reiki practitioners can also charge such items as candles with Reiki energy in order to provide their loved ones with some Reiki in order to improve their spiritual well being.

1. Purchase some ordinary candles. Many places, such as Candles4Less, sell candles in bulk, and can easily be accessed online (See Resources below). Buying candles in bulk can save a lot of money, and instead of charging each candle with Reiki individually, the entire box can be charged in one session.
2. Choose whether or not to buy scented candles. Scented candles work very well with Reiki, as their smell adds an aromatherapy aspect to the Reiki released by burning the candle. However, make sure that a recipient is not put off by the smell of the scented candle, or worse, is allergic to the scent.
3. Wash your hands, then soak them in a bowl of water before placing them on the candle to charge it with Reiki. Dirty hands can impede the flow of Reiki energy, as can jewelry. Make sure that your hands are completely free of any objects that may interfere with the transfer of Reiki into the candle.
4. Charge the candle with Reiki energy. Place your hands on the candle, almost as though caressing it, then begin charging the candle with Reiki energy. Don't worry about what kind of Reiki energy is being charged with or about how it is supposed to heal the recipient, since Reiki energy is supposed to go where it is most needed on a person.
5. Store the candles or send them to loved ones. Candles charged with Reiki energy can be stored indefinitely, especially since Reiki energy does not wear out. However you may want to charge up candles that have been stored for over a year with some extra Reiki energy, in order to better reflect your ability to channel Reiki and your thoughts on the recipient in question.

Tips & Warnings

• Any type of candle can be charged with Reiki, so don't feel confined to just one kind. Friends with a religious bent may appreciate some votive candles charged with Reiki energy. People who have an affection for antiques may appreciate an old-fashioned type of candle charged with Reiki, while friends who have an appreciation of alternative and holistic medicine might prefer a natural beeswax candle charged with Reiki.
