Step 1
Keep things tame if the bride-to-be is conservative. Select gifts like a specially themed bachelorette party music CD or a tiara, fun dress or mock wedding veil for the guest of honor to wear out on the town.
-
Step 2
Get the bachelorette a disposable camera so she can capture photo memories of your night out without having to worry about losing her own. For an extra touch, you can also find bachelorette-themed photo albums where she can store her prints.
-
Step 3
Select something a little more daring and risque if the bride-to-be can handle it. Give her a gift that she might use on her wedding night, like a Kama Sutra book, fuzzy handcuffs, massage kit, gel, lubricant or vibrator. Always choose your gift keeping the character of the recipient in mind, though.
-
Step 4
Bring a gag gift. After all, bachelorette parties are all about fun and shouldn't be taken too seriously! A gift like the Honeymoon Survival Kit is a hoot. It contains condoms, a funny how-to guide, "born-again virgin" fake blood and special creams. It is available from Bachelorette.com (see Resources below).
-
Step 5
Get the bride-to-be a sexy outfit, some lingerie or exciting underwear. If you don't want to spoil the surprise, try to find out the bachelorette's measurements surreptitiously, if you don't already know them. Ask her well in advance of the occasion (so she's forgotten all about it by the time it rolls around) or get her future husband to find out for you.
-
Step 6
Give the bachelorette some indulgence items such as bath oils, scented candles or gift certificates for a massage or a facial. She'll really appreciate being able to de-stress in the days leading up to the wedding.
