Step 1
Decide whether you will be giving individual gifts or if you wish to give the same gift to all of the guests. It may be best to give individual gifts or personalized versions of the same gift to each bachelor party attendee if you have a small, intimate gathering. However, if you're having a huge bash, it may be easier and more economical to give everyone the same gift.
-
Step 2
Choose gifts based on the personalities and tastes of those who will be attending the bachelor party. Your metal head buddy probably won't have much use for monogrammed golf balls, while your bookish physics professor friend may not find a deck of cards with nude women on it terribly appropriate.
-
Step 3
Select gifts that will truly represent your time together and will inspire positive memories of the night. Buy engraved glass beer mugs if you went out barhopping all night, or pick up some casino-style poker chips in cases with engraved nameplates if you stayed in and played cards until dawn.
-
Step 4
Find gifts that are practical and can be used well into the future. Bottle openers, bar gear, sports equipment, t-shirts and books are all excellent choices for bachelor party gifts that have extended uses.
-
Step 5
Use an online retailer to purchase, or get inspiration for, the perfect gifts. Gifts.com is a good resource for all kinds of gifts, and it has a special section just for bachelor party gifts (see Resources below).
-
Step 6
Keep it clean. Although you may have the raunchiest night on the town for the bachelor party itself, you should select a gift that doesn't need to be hidden from anyone's wife or girlfriend after the party is over. Everyone will want to remember the occasion with the memento, but they won't be able to do that if they have to hide it under the bed or in a shoebox in the closet.
-
Step 7
Buy everyone food. Gift baskets can contain just about anything from chocolate to steaks and beer. Everyone eats, so it's the ultimate one-size-fits-all gift when you just can't decide on anything else.
