on 3/29/2009 There is also some theories that melatonin has anti carcinogenic properties and very strong brain anti oxidant. FYI our body only produces low amounts (under 1mg per day) so for long term use 0.3mg is often recommended and research has shown this does is sufficient for sleep and anti oxidant benefits.
