How to Add a Horoscope Widget to IGoogle

At iGoogle, you can customize the appearance of the website and use it as your homepage. Information that is displayed on a web portal typically includes news stories, weather reports and stock-market activity. The website, iGoogle lets users add fun items, such as movie schedules or horoscopes, to their personal pages by choosing the appropriate widgets. You will find many options for widgets that are easy to add.

1. Log on to your Google account at iGoogle. If you have a Gmail account, you can use your email address and password to log on to your iGoogle page. The first time that you visit iGoogle, you will see the default layout.

2. Navigate to the selection of available widgets. By clicking on the "Add Stuff" link in the upper-right part of the page, you will see all of the available widgets or "gadgets." You can search for a particular type of widget along the left side of the screen or via the search box.

3. Choose a horoscope widget to add to your iGoogle page. When you search for horoscope widgets at iGoogle, you will find pages of options from which to choose. You can use the provider, the number of stars others have rated the widget and the number of users as criteria by which to compare widgets.

4. Customize the widget to display your horoscope sign. The same widget contains the horoscopes for all 12 signs of the zodiac. On your iGoogle page, click on the downward-pointing arrow in your horoscope widget, select "Edit Settings" and choose your sign.

5. Share the widget with others who enjoy reading horoscopes or following astrology. By clicking on the downward-pointing arrow, you can send an email containing a link to the widget to friends and family members.

• If you do not have a Google account yet, you can sign up for one with an existing email address or create an account for Gmail. With your Google account, you can access products like the Google Calendar and Google Docs.

• You can switch quickly between your personal iGoogle page and the classic Google search page by clicking either "iGoogle" or "Classic Home" on the upper-right part of the page.

• Clicking on the link for a particular widget will let you read a more detailed description of it as well as the reviews posted by others.

• If you do not like the widget you just added, you can remove it by clicking the "X" in the widget's box on your iGoogle page.
