How to Make Bubble Mix

Reuse bubble jars and blowers again and again by making your own bubble mix. For just pennies, you can make enough mix to fill an entire afternoon with bubbly fun.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Baby Shampoo
  • Baby Shampoo
  • Mixing Bowls
  • Mixing Spoons
  • Plastic Containers
  • Bubble Wands
  • Mixing bowls
  • 1 1/4 c. water
  • 2 tsp. sugars
  • 1/2 c. liquid dish soap
  1. Step 1

    Combine 1/2 c. liquid dishwashing soap, 2 tsp. sugar and 1 1/4 c. water in a mixing bowl.

  2. Step 2

    Mix gently. This recipe yields 1 3/4 cups of bubble mix.

  3. Step 3

    Use immediately or store in a plastic container.

Tips & Warnings
  • This mixture is very sticky - it's best used outside.
  • Use baby shampoo in place of soap, if desired.

on 8/8/2006 You can make a large bubble wand out of an old wire coat-hanger. Just make sure that the actual part that holds the bubble is very round. You can make bubbles up to a foot long! For the really ambitious, you can use a hula hoop for your wand, and use a kiddie pool to hold the solution

on 11/22/2005 Use Ultra strength dishwashing liquid and add 2 teaspoons pure liquid glycerine to make more and longer lasting bubbles. You can find glycerine in the drug store in the skin care section.

on 11/22/2005 Karo syrup makes a great, thick sugar substitute in the recipe. Thin the syrup to the point where you can use it to blow bubbles.
