Are you trying to eat healthier or lose weight, but just can't stay away from your favorite recipes? Heres a tip to take some fat out of your cooking and keep your tastebuds happy.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • A few of your favorite recipes
Step1
Review your recipes and note any ingredients that offer a low fat or light version. For example; if your recipe calls for mayonaise or cream cheese, try using light mayonaise, or fat free cream cheese.
Step2
Use extra virgin olive oil in place of butter when sauteing. Of course this is not a suggestion for baking.
Step3
If your recipe calls for frying, try baking it. Breaded baked fish or chicken tastes excellent and this cuts out 1/2 the fat.
Step4
Ground turkey breast is a great substitute for ground beef in tacos or burritos, you'll never know the difference.
Step5
My best suggestion is give it a try. This may not work in every recipe, but cutting out some fat in your diet is key to maintaining good health and losing weight.
