Would you give your house key to everyone you met. If not, why would you make it easy for people to access your personal information on on the internet. Your password matters. A weak password, will make you a easy target for scams and identity theft.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Computer.
  • Need for a password.

Step1
Create a puzzle pattern with your password. Think of a sentence that is simple for you to remember but not easy for someone to guess. Choose a sentence with at least five words and a date somewhere in the sentence. For example, My first car was a 1983 red Chrysler.
Step2
Now write down the first letter or number of word or date in your sentence. The example password would be Mfcwa1rC. To make your password secure make sure to put a number in the middle of you sentence.
Step3
Do not use the same passwords for each login. You may wish to keep notes to document each password. However, make sure they are secured in a safe place in your home.

Tips & Warnings

  • Do not put your name or user name in your password. Don't even use part of your name or user name.
  • Do not include information easily obtained about you.
  • Do not display your password in public places.
