While some problems can be confronted head on, there are many cases where your problems could be linked to a person or people you would much rather avoid confronting. These people could be mean, overly aggressive or just plain annoying. In any event, the steps below will show you how to avoid people you don’t like.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Stop accepting phone calls. Check the phone number that pops up on the display before tapping the talk button. This will ensure that you will not have to speak to someone you have been trying to avoid. Another great way to avoid people you don’t like is by changing their name to “do not answer” in your cell phone address book. This way when they call, the phone will tell you not to answer.

  2. Step 2

Change your phone number. Depending on the severity of the situation, you may need to change your phone number to avoid certain people.

  3. Step 3

Avoid the places this person frequents. This means that you may not want to go to the same bar on Friday nights. Just look at it as a change of pace. Find another bar you would rather go to with your friends.

  4. Step 4

When you see someone coming, go the other direction. You can make this change of direction subtle enough by avoiding eye contact, or feigning interest in another store or person.

  5. Step 5

Delete the person from your email address book. Hopefully, you have a spam protector on your email. Once this person tries to contact you and they are not in your address book, the spam blocker should send them straight to junk mail. This is a great feature on emails.

  6. Step 6

Delete the person from your online chat community page. If you are a member of any online communities, take this time to delete your foe from your page. This way, they will not be able to communicate with you over the internet.

Tips & Warnings
  • Prepare yourself for the inevitable! You will have to speak to this person one day. Maybe not next week or next month, but be prepared to say something. Even if it is “I don’t like you, please leave me alone!”
