Some simple food substitutes that will have you packing more vitamins in each meal.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Eat natural. Science shows that getting your vitamins directly from food is more effective and better for you than getting them from a pill.

  2. Step 2

Understand calorie/vitamin ratios. It is not just the amount of vitamins you are getting, but the amount of vitamins per calorie. Focus on vitamin packed foods like carrots, sweet potatoes, and any dark leafy green. These even have more vitamins than fruits!

  3. Step 3

Avoid refined foods. Change oil for nuts. Change white flour and rice for brown flour and rice. Change pure sugar for dried fruits.

Tips & Warnings
  • Stop and think before eating an empty calorie. Often the alternatives taste better!
