It is imperative to estimate a total cost for the production of an event. You want to always stay under your budget. Here are some great ways to do so.

    Research budgets of events of your type so you have an idea of the costs involved.

  2. Step 2

    Get several bids and references from each vendor before making your final selection.

  3. Step 3

    Create an Excel document for your budget.

  4. Step 4

    Be certain to plug in each and every purchase into your budget so that at any given time you know what you have spent.

  5. Step 5

    Update the budget with new details and information often.

  6. Step 6

    Keep copies of each receipt and invoice for every purchase made in a file for budget comparison.
