Cleanliness is imperative to a healthy lifestyle. The germs and bacteria that you may come in contact with on a daily basis can be harsh on the body, therefore it is essential to maintain good personal hygiene. The steps below will help you improve your personal hygiene.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Wash clothing and linens on a regular basis. The longer it takes you to clean your dirty clothes and linens the smellier they become. Try to change your linens regularly. Germs and bacteria fester in your dirty clothes basket and hamper. Try to stay on a weekly cleaning schedule.
Step2
Practice good oral hygiene. Always rinse any excess toothpaste and spittle from your toothbrush. Brush your tongue and gargle with mouthwash. Do not forget to floss!
Step3
Change your toothbrush regularly. Replacing your toothbrush is essential to good oral hygiene. A new toothbrush is free from germs and plaque. Try to store your toothbrush in a place where it can easily dry.
Step4
Clean all cracks and crevices on your body. Try scrubbing every part of your body two or three times before stepping out of the shower or bathtub. A nice firm scrub, washes away dirt and grime build up from a hard day at work.
Step5
Choose a good deodorant. Why use an eight hour deodorant, if you are working for 12 hours? Try to find a deodorant that suits your needs without having to reapply before the days out. For instance, if you tend to do more manual labor, find a deodorant for active people.
Step6
Bath twice a day. Wash in the morning and at night. Bathing consistently cuts out body odor.

Tips & Warnings

  • Disinfect your dirty clothes basket and hamper.
  • Stay away from heavily perfumed soaps that do not provide the necessary cleansing agents!
  • Try brushing your teeth with toothpaste that contains baking soda.
  • Natural soaps such as peppermint and eucalyptus have menthol that opens your pores.
  • Do not forget to clean and trim your finger and toe nails. If you are not good at this, try using a manicurist. It is well worth it.
  • Remember to clean the inner and outer ear properly.
  • Do not wear soiled clothing over and over again.
  • There are such problems as chronic halitosis and foul body odor. If you have tried the steps above and nothing seems to work, please see your physician.
  • Try adding a liquid disinfectant to your wash load. Make sure you read the label before mixing chemicals.
  • When using a cotton swab in the ear, be careful not to penetrate deeply.
