Create a comfortable environment, since many children are afraid of the dark, use a nightlight to make sure their room is well lighted and not too dark. on 9/17/2008 very good article. These are all things I have been trying to do with my children consistently. When I do them, they tend to stay in bed and fall asleep a lot quicker.

on 8/17/2008 My children run me ragged most days and I always look forward to bedtime. Usually bath time is part of the nightly routine. It helps to wind them down. Every night is not story night, but when I do read it seems to be helpful. The one-on-one can be hard when there are five of them, but I think bedtime would be an excellent time for that. Good pointers.
