Cut this junk from your trunk!
Cut this junk from your trunk!

Eating junk food packs on unwanted pounds as well as putting unhealthy chemicals into your body. Junk foods are of limited nutritional value and are usually high in fat, sugar, salt and calories, while low in nutrition. Prepackaged foods should be avoided in your efforts to cut the junk food from your diet. Fresh fruits and vegetables are a delicious way to change your bad eating habits to good.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Instead of reaching for that greasy bag of chips, satisfy your craving for something crunchy by biting into a crisp apple. Apples are bursting with goodness and contain almost all the nutrients a body needs for optimum health.

  2. Step 2

When you feel the urge to grab a bag of candy, reach for a bag of seedless grapes instead. You'll get hooked on their crisp texture and the way they pop in your mouth.

  3. Step 3

Break the soda habit by switching to nutritious fruit juices and smoothies rich with antioxidants to kick those free radicals. You'll also be consuming fiber to help shed those unwanted inches and keep your digestive system moving.

  4. Step 4

Switch to carob, instead of chocolate! Carob contains less fat than chocolate, no caffeine and can be purchased at health food stores everywhere.
