Reusing cloth shower curtains makes sense in any number of ways. It saves money and you are able to use a design that you like, but that is not commercially available for windows. Follow these simple steps to create a window treatment from a fabric shower curtain.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Fold the existing shower curtain once vertically and cut in half along the fold.

  2. Step 2

    Hem the raw (cut) edges.

  3. Step 3

Install curtain rod, place hooks on reconfigured curtains and hang on window.

Tips & Warnings
  • Instead of standard plastic shower curtain hooks, look in stores for more decorative hooks that you are now free to use because the curtains are no longer near water.
  • Be sure to measure the length of the curtain and see if any alterations are necessary or wanted. In that case, leave an extra inch along the bottom cut for hemming.
