Despite the popularity of MP3 players in today's world, burning music onto CD ROMs is still the preferred method of storing and listening to music by many people. Even those who prefer to use an MP3 player often like to burn CDs for backing up their music mixes, or for the convenience of play by inserting the music into a traditional stero system. Here's how to burn a music CD using your Music Match jukebox.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • A copy of Music Match
  • A computer with a CD-R or CD-RW drive
  • A blank CD ROM

Step1
Open Music Match Jukebox Open your copy of Music Match Jukebox. For purposes of this guide, we are working with Music Match version 10, but any version will work just fine.
Step2
Create Your Playlist Create your desired playlist by clicking on the songs in your music library. This will add them to the "Current Playlist," where you can shuffle them, sort the play order, among other preferences. After your playlist is assembled, click the button that says "Burn."
Step3
Click the Burn button A menu will open and populate itself with the songs in your playlist. Note that the bottom of the screen tells you the total play time of your selected songs, as well as the available play time on the media disc. You can continue adding songs to the playlist from here by clicking the "Add" button, or if you are happy with your existing selections, simply click "Burn."
Step4
Insert a blank CD You will be prompted to insert a blank CD ROM into the CD drive of your computer. Insert a blank CD and click "OK." Music Match will begin burning the CD automatically and display a progress bar to show how far into the process it is.
Step5
After burning the CD, Music Match will ask you if you would like to burn another copy or exit back to the playlist. Select the option that suits your needs.

Tips & Warnings

  • Examine your CD for dust or scratches before starting your burn. These can interrupt the process and cause your burn to cancel itself prematurely.
