Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 10mm open end and socket wrenches
  • blade screwdriver
  • two 13mm box wrenches
  1. Step 1

Loosen brake cable anchor and remove.

  2. Step 2

Loosen brake arm anchor and remove.

  3. Step 3

Keep the spacer and bolt together.

  4. Step 4

Loosen the axle adusters on both sides
an equal amount, about five turns.

  5. Step 5

Loosen the axle nuts (inset) and push the
wheel forward to loosen the drive belt.

  6. Step 6

    Pull the old wheel out.

  7. Step 7

Install new wheel. Maneuver the belt onto
the wheel pulley and slip the axle into the slots
    on the frame.

  8. Step 8

To hook up the brake anchor arm and
cable. Align the cable guide adjuster and install
the spacer and bolt. Do not tighten until after
    step 13.

  9. Step 9

Insert the brake spring and thread the
cable wire into the cable anchor. Thread the
cable to its original position and tighten
    securely.

  10. Step 10

Install the axle adjusters and axle nuts.
Tighten until they just hold the hardware in place.

  11. Step 11

retension the drive belt and approximately
maintain the proper centering of the wheel.

  12. Step 12

Rotate the wheel several times (clockwise
when looking at the pulley side). The belt may
drift or “track” to one side of the pulley or the
other. You want the belt to track to the center
    Turn the belt-side adjuster
1/16 to 1/8 turn to track the belt to the center.
Watch the belt tension. If too tight, loosen the
other adjuster to equalize the wheel and belt
    alignment.

  13. Step 13

When the belt is tracking in the center and
with the belt tension confirmed, tighen the axle
nuts securely and tighten the brake anchor
securely. Test ride and recheck step 12.
