The City Museum is one of St. Louis's most memorable attractions. It is essentially one of the world's largest jungle gyms--a whole building cobbled together out of scraps and debris, all culled from within city limits. In order to truly enjoy this museum, you may have to run through a giant hamster wheel or crawl through one of hundreds of tunnels. Plan accordingly.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Choose an appropriately nice and sunny day. One of the most memorable portions of the museum is stationed outside exposed to the elements and is often closed during bad weather.

  2. Step 2

Check the museum's calendar to see if there are events taking place that you'd like to attend. The City Museum often hosts circus events and their World Aquarium has regular feedings.

  3. Step 3

Dress appropriately in light, activity-ready clothing. The City Museum is filled with slides and tunnels that make heavy or formal clothing quite cumbersome. For example, the museum's basement cave is laced with very small tunnels, which are simply begging to be explored.

  4. Step 4

Arrange a time and a place to meet up when you finish. Unless you tether yourselves together, you will inevitably lose track of your children, parents or friends.

  5. Step 5

Explore to your heart's content. This will take several hours.
