Things You'll Need:
- 1 Fine Cigar
- A place to lounge
- Match
- Small Strip of Cedar (optional)
- 1 Cigar Cutter
- Music
-
Step 1
First, select your Cigar from the humidor. It should match your mood and also the length of time you plan to enjoy your smoke. It should go without saying that you should have nothing on your agenda and plenty of boundaries so as to avoid interruption.
-
Step 2
Hold your cigar. Take time to appreciate its aesthetics. Its unique color and texture and its aroma whilst it is unlit. Feel free to be contemplative and relaxed. Now would be a good time to begin the music.
-
Step 3
Cutting your Cigar. It is important that no step is rushed through. To cut, simply place your cutter over the end of your cigar about 1/8th inch behind the end and clip. Notice the feel of the blade cutting through the tobacco.
-
Step 4
Lighting your Cigar. Hold the cigar away from your Mouth
-
Step 5
Light a match. . . wait for the sulfur to burn away and then catch your cedar on fire. Use this flame to gently warm the tip of the cigar until it begins to lightly smoke. Slowly turn your cigar so that it begins to light and catch on fire evenly.
-
Step 6
Continue holding the flame near, never touching, the tip until it is fully lit. Feel free to take one or 2 puffs to encourage lighting.
-
Step 7
Enjoy
