Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Stress is so obvious in our faces as well as the rest of our health. Look at yourself in the mirror and see if the face looking back at you is relaxed and healthy. Take the time to review what you do everyday and make decisions to sleep enough and control the events in your life that cause tension for you. Write things down if you need to and formulate a way to look at or deal with it differently.
Step2
Ask important questions. How is your health? Are you taking care of yourself? Your face is a reflection of what is going on inside your health and all the paint in the world cannot cover it up. Information is readily available everywhere now and there are no excuses for most of us. Obviously, if you have medical conditions, there are more factors involved that we are not dealing with here. Don’t take the lazy gimmick of eating a vitamin and thinking that it will make you healthy. Eat right, drink plenty of water and enjoy doing so.
Step3
Understand that hair is another factor involved in your skin. What are you putting in your hair? How many times a day do you touch your hair and then your face? If you are putting hairspray on your hair, don’t you think some of that is getting on your skin. What about the chemicals you apply to your hair for coloring--how much is absorbed causing more work for your body to detoxify? Of course, a good haircut will do wonders for framing your face as well as keeping hair out of your face.
Step4
If you think of your body as an intricate machine that needs several things to work at top notch then you will understand that aerobic exercise is very important for your health. The whole process of moving not only improves oxygen levels in your blood but also helps your whole lymph system remove toxins, resulting in clearer skin and health.
Step5
Take care of your teeth. Not only for the beauty of a nice smile, but also to keep bacteria from causing infections resulting in poor health. Brushing is your best defense with plenty of water.
Step6
Improve your diet. There are so many wonderful nutrients found in fresh food that can’t be found elsewhere. Find foods you enjoy and take the time to prepare healthy meals and snacks. The right foods can contribute greatly to the right acid balance in your digestive system.
Step7
Finally, get some sun exposure without sunscreen. Now, some people might find that controversial but sunlight on our skin converts into vitamin D which is very important to our immune system. Studies have suggested just 10 minutes a day will provide enough exposure.
Step8
Fix your face. If your complexion is broken out--here are a few simple home remedies. Rinse your face with warm water every morning and evening and pat dry. Keep makeup to a minimum to allow your pores to ‘breath’. Break open a vitamin E capsule and spread on your skin. It will be sticky and oily for a few minutes but will then absorb into your skin. After just a few days, your skin should be healthier if done in combination with the previous steps.
