Things You'll Need:
- Your Infant or Toddler
- Karo Syrup
- Mylicon tablets or liquid
- Fig Newtons
-
Step 1
Give them a spoonful of Karo syrup in their infant formula. The Karo seemed to work like a charm for my girls when they were infants. Their stomachs would be as hard as a rock, but once they drank their baby formula with a spoonful of Karo, they were able to produce a stool.
-
Step 2
Administer Mylicon. Mylicon comes in a generic form as well, and will save your at least $4 to $5 and works like a charm as well. The Mylicon bottle comes with a dropper inside. All you do is fill it up to the amount specified for your infant or toddler. If you have any questions, call your baby doctor about dosage amount.
-
Step 3
Purchase a bag of Fig Newtons, once your toddler can chew food easily. Limit the amount of Newtons you provide, as too much fiber could produce the opposite result!
-
Step 4
One more item that will help your toddler is pureed pears. If you ask your pediatrician, they will probably tell you pears are a sure way to help a yucky tummy.
-
Step 5
Realize that any remedy will take time. Just hold your toddler and tell them it will be alright soon, but that all you can do is wait.

on 7/22/2008 Apples are really to try first as they are totally natural! If your baby is old enough to chew a little, grate an apple and leave it out to go brown. The brownish grated apple works a treat for a tummy ache. Also, green motions are a sign of a tummy ache.
