Does your skin get really dry in the winter? Do you feel like you moisturize constantly, but your skin is still dry? I have listed a few tips below that might be helpful.
To help retain your skins moisture while you are showering or bathing, use baby oil. If you are taking a bath, then put some baby oil in the bath water. This will coat your skin and help keep it soft. If you are showering, rub baby oil all over your skin before you hop in the shower. This will soften your skin and also prevent additional moisture loss.
Step2
Try not to use water that is too hot. This will only cause your skin to dry out further. Use an exfoliating scrub to slough off dry skin cells. The baby oil will have already softened your dry skin, which will make it easier to exfoliate.
Step3
Moisturize as soon as you get out of the tub or shower. This is the best time to do this since your skin is still soft and wet. Also, after exfoliating, you want to be sure to moisturize the healthy skin that is now showing.
Tips & Warnings
These tips may not apply to all skin types. Some people might have more sensitive skin and exfoliating might only cause an irritation.
Also, baby oil might be too heavy for some skin types that are acne prone.
