Opening Day is one of the most exciting days in the entire Major League Baseball season. It marks the beginning of spring and the long and grueling baseball season. Here is how you can throw a party for Opening Day of the baseball season.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Cable TV
  • Cable splitters
  • High-speed Internet
  • Television sets
  • Radios
Step1
Be sure to take off work for Opening Day and have your friends do the same. Remember that Opening Day is almost always on a weekday. You'll have to take a personal day in order to not miss out on any of the action of Opening Day.
Step2
Pick up some cable splitters and move all of your television sets to one room. If you don't have multiple sets, have your friends bring theirs. On Opening Day, several games will be aired at the same time from about 1 p.m. until roughly midnight. The cable splitters and TVs will help keep you from having to flip back and forth throughout your day.
Step3
If you have high-speed Internet, have your friends bring over a couple of laptops as well. You can watch the baseball games that aren't on TV during Opening Day online for free.
Step4
Go to your local store and pick up plastic cups and plates for your Opening Day party. If everybody attending the party cheers for the same team, you could buy plates and cups that have that particular team's logo and colors.
Step5
Have ballpark food at your home for Opening Day. Hot dogs, burgers, beers and sodas are all you'll need for any Opening Day party.
Step6
Place at least a radio in your bathroom. A common mistake that many rookies make when throwing any sports party is not having a radio on in the bathroom. If you only have one bathroom in your home, there is no way that everybody can use it during a commercial break. This is a simple way to ensure that nobody misses anything during Opening Day.
Step7
If the weather is nice, spend at least part of Opening Day outside. Baseball, after all, is an outdoor game. Barbecue outside and keep track of the games by listening to them on a few hand-held radios. Perhaps you could even play catch or even a game of baseball with your friends.
