Instructions

      Click the "Explorer" icon in the task bar. Alternatively, press the "Windows" and "E" keys simultaneously to open Windows Explorer. Navigate to the folder containing the files you want to email.

      Right-click the desired folder. From the pop-up menu, select "Send to" and "Compressed (zipped) folder" from the sub-menu. The entire folder’s contents will be compressed into a single file.

      Launch your email application or navigate to your Web-based email program. Compose a new email message. Your email program will open with a new email message. Type in the recipient's email address, a subject and any other information. Attach the file to your email. Click the "Send" button to send the email message. The email message with the attached folder is subsequently sent.

Tips & Warnings

  • If your file is too large to send by email, use a file service such as YouSendIt (yousendit.com) to send your file.

  • The recipient will have to save the zipped file to his computer and then unzipping its contents before being able to view the individual files.
