Step 1
Attend as many social and service activities as you can. Not only will this allow you to spend more quality time with your sisters, you'll also network with members of other organizations on campus, increasing your social circle.
-
Step 2
Get to know all of your sisters, not just those in your pledge class or that you room with. Some of these girls will become your best friends in life--the ones who will be in your wedding and by your side when you give birth to your first child, so be sure that you're spending lots of time with those that share as many characteristics with you.
-
Step 3
Run for a key position on your chapter's executive board. Not only will this provide you with great leadership skills, but it will look great on your resume too.
-
Step 4
Become a "big" sister. Although it might not seem important at the time, it is a great way to serve as a mentor to someone who is following in your footsteps and help them through a tough transition into sisterhood. This experience will resurface later in your life as you manage employees in your career.

Step 5
Get to know your alumnae. These are women with the knowledge--and connections--that could help you to get your dream job or internship.
