HOw to repair your thrashed ripped skate shoes

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • miniature sewing kit
  • stik n' seal waterproof adhesive
  • black thread
  • blow dryer
  1. Step 1

First, open up the sewing kit and select the meduim sized needle, should be abotu an inch long.

  2. Step 2

now, I suggest wrapping grip tape or some kind of sticky or abbrasive substance to your fingers for grip on the needle.

  3. Step 3

sew up the toe line, where I suggest unlacing the shoe completely and folding the soft top piece flat down and holding it down while you sew, so that you dont prick your finger while sewing.

  4. Step 4

now go in and out in a weaving pattern, leaving about 2 cm between each hole. This should give the shoe more life and bring back the basic toe line of the shoe.

  5. Step 5

now, this may be the difficult part, but hold on. use your finger as you squeez the stik n' seal adheasive onto your finger. spread this evenly over the hole. most of the time, I covered the hole with electrical tape first, but you can choose not to.

  6. Step 6

now, let the adheasive dry for about a good 6-7 hours, then apply the second coat and let dry for same time.

  7. Step 7

finally, one the adhesive is completely dry, run your finger over it, so it feels roughly similar to the rubber outsole on the shoe. now, just sew it up one more time and you are good to go! your skate shoes are completely repaired.

Tips & Warnings
  • when spreading the glue with your finger, wash your finger off or the toxins in the glue could be somewhat poisonus and make you sick!
  • note! needle tips are very sharp and children unnder age 13 should have parental supervision
  • 2nd note! glue is toxic! children under age 13 should have parental supervision
