Central Florida is a haven for antiques and a draw for antique lovers everywhere. Read on to learn how to shop for antiques in Central Florida.

  1. Step 1

    Plan a visit to the charming town of Mt. Dora, located about 25 miles north of Orlando. The town is known for its wide and unique selection of antiques and is home to Renningers Antique Market which offers several special events and everything from furniture to jewelry.

  2. Step 2

    Visit Laniers Antiques in historic downtown Kissimmee. Laniers is an award-winning antique shop featuring furniture, decorative art and collectibles. Downtown Kissimmee is also home to many gift shops and restaurants.

  3. Step 3

    If you are in north central Florida, plan a day trip to Micanopy, which is about 15 miles outside of Gainesville on I-75. Micanopy was voted "Best Antique Shopping Town" by Florida Magazine in 2006, and boasts a quaint main street lined with many antique and vintage shops. Stroll the shops and grab lunch at one of the cafes.

  4. Step 4

    Don't miss Sherman's Antiques, located in Winter Haven. This shop features estate sales, toys, furniture and even a repair and restoration service.

  5. Step 5

    Victoria's Treasure Shop is a bustling antique mall in Orlando. Antique lovers will find books, china, pottery and many other rare finds in this 4000 sq. ft. store.
