It's more than a bible story. It's a life application! It's more than a bible story. It's a life application!

One of the most dramatic, exciting stories in the bible is the one of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. For those who are not familiar with this story. I will recant it very quickly. they were taken into captivity by King Nebuchadnezzar. In Chapter One they proved to be wise and devoted to their Hebrew God. In Chapter 3, they were put to a test to stay loyal to their God or to go with the flow and bow to another God. They choose to stand up for their beliefs. This caused the King to become very angry and throw them into a fiery furnace. However, faced with this unusual punishment, they did not flinch. they were thrown in and they did not burn nor did their clothes burn. When The King saw that they were alive and walking around in the fire, he let them out and joined in with their devotion to their God. This story pulsates with drama, but it also is full of lessons for us. For while you may not be facing a literal fire like these boys, you often find yourself facing inflammable experiences or involved in inflammatory relationships. Here's how to keep your cool.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step1
There is an old saying, "If you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything." In our world of everybody is doing it. IF you are going to stand out from the crowd and make an impression, you will have to be devoted to principles that you are not willing to let slide at any cost.

There will be lots of opportunities to take the "easy way". But anything worth having should require some kind of effort or "fight" if you will. If you are not willing to work for it. You should ask yourself, why you want it.
Step2
Now this is not saying that you should not follow established rules. This is saying that most successful people understand that if a position is not conducive to the life they are trying to achieve they are not willing to settle for less.

"Everything that glitters, is not GOLD." So many believe this today. However, "I live by all shooting stars break the mold." This is true when you think of all the inventors and those that are considered trail blazers, at some point they had to stick to their belief that just because no one else tried it or had tried it and failed, there is another way of getting a better result. This will cause the heat to be turned up. It may cause people to become angry and look at you differently. In most cases, this is a good thing.
Step3
When you are questioned about your stance. Keep this in mind. Keep Cool. How do you do this. Pick your battles wisely. Don't just start a fire without good reason. This helps you stay in control. People will challenge your beliefs, ideas, and thoughts. This is to be expected.

The most important thing is you should think it through from beginning to end. When you challenged to prove yourself, Be willing to say it will work because of... or even if it does not work I am still willing to take the chance that it will. "Nothing ventured nothing gained." The bigger person can say when they were wrong. There is no need to get upset when challenged because you go in knowing that you are able to say, I was wrong. Trust your own instincts. Do your homework.
Step4
The most important thing to understand, is that when you lose your temper you also lose control. When you stand for what you believe and you have put the work in. It will pay off. You will achieve your goals and the very ones that once said it would not work will now willing work with you to achieve greater successes.

Let your opposition, feel the heat.
